September 2024 - Peachy Party Business Update
How much did we make this month?!?!
Hey there, Peachy Party Fam!
Can you believe it's already fall? Pumpkin spice season is here, but while people are obsessing over lattes, I’ve been knee-deep in tents, stages, and spreadsheets. (You know, the glamorous life of running an event rental business.)
Let’s dive into what’s been happening this past month at Peachy Party ATL!
Business Update: The Numbers Don’t Lie—Or Do They?
September saw a total of $20,682.60 in sales, with expenses sitting at $6,910.96. That leaves us with a net income of $12,332.99—a solid 59.6% margin! But here’s where things get tricky. That’s how much hit the account, but when I cross-checked with the actual September events, invoices only totaled around $12K. Something’s off, right?
Further complicating things, I realized I haven't been factoring in truck payments into my expenses. (Oops!) So, I’ve clearly missed something along the way, which means it's time to bring in a tax professional. I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out in future newsletters—because I know you love reading about tax logistics as much as I do.
New Additions: Say Hello to Our 12x12 Stage
In other news, we’ve got a shiny new 12x12 stage! After subrenting a stage twice last month, I figured it was time to stop borrowing and start owning. I was lucky enough to snag this one from a local competitor that recently closed its doors. Looking forward to offering this as part of our lineup for future events!
Exciting News: Peachy Party Patent in Progress
Here’s a fun little tidbit—I officially filed for a patent related to Peachy Party in September. Details are still under wraps for now, but I’ll share more about this exciting development in future updates. Stay tuned!
Client Experiences: First Time for Cancellations
September also brought a couple of event cancellations—my first time ever having to issue store credits. Not exactly a highlight, but hey, it’s all part of the business journey, right? Things happen, and I’m learning how to navigate these bumps in the road while keeping my customers happy.
Looking Ahead: Fall Fun Awaits!
As we roll into October, we’ve got some exciting fall events on the books and a few big changes in the works. Keep an eye out for more new inventory and updates on the business side (including that riveting tax talk). Until next time, keep things peachy!
