Starting Wet
The day kicked off with a rainy tent takedown. Normally I’d try to reschedule, but this setup included chairs that weren’t meant for outdoor use—especially not on grass. So, rain jacket on, I powered through.

Early Warehouse Grind
I got to the warehouse early and kept unboxing items for an upcoming event while waiting for my guy to arrive. Once he did, we were off to the first job: breaking down the tent, tables, and chairs from Friday’s setup. Drizzle and all, we wrapped in about an hour. Profit margin was nearly 80%, but a 26-mile drive chipped away at it.

The $60 Surprise
Next up was a simple table and chair pickup. On paper, it pulled an 18% profit margin for a whopping $60 profit. We don’t have a minimum order in place yet, so as a standalone job, this one would’ve sucked. I figured the $220 delivery fee for ~$100 worth of rentals would scare them off, but to my surprise, they booked and paid. The only saving grace was that it was near the first job—a lucky break for efficiency. Still, the margins looked thin since the analysis is done on a standalone basis.

Wrapping the Day
Back at the warehouse, we unloaded, I kept unboxing, and tackled a few calls and emails. Then I hit pause to pick up my wife from the airport. Later at home, I dug into analytics, improved inventory measures, and even put the kids to work stuffing thank-you note envelopes. Wrapped it up by tweaking my Google Ads—specifically excluding the 18–24 age group in an effort to rein in a creeping ad spend.
