Strategic moves, warehouse wins, and a new AI assistant

Some days are about the big picture. Today was about getting my hands dirty—and sharpening the game plan while I was at it.

Rethinking Tent Pricing
I raised the price of the 30x60 pole tent—not because of costs, but because it should be priced higher. I don’t have it in stock, so if someone really wants it, they’ll need to pay up. But the bigger play is positioning: it makes our middle-tier tent look like the smart, reasonable option. And guess what? That one is in stock and ready to go. Strategic anchoring at its finest. Probably something I read in a book somewhere…

A Productive Warehouse Day
I spent most of the day in the warehouse and finally wrapped up color-coding all the tent pipes. It’s one of those oddly satisfying projects—everything looks sharp and clean now. I also fixed a few things, reorganized some shelves, and updated our inventory system to reflect the changes. Felt like I made a real dent in the to-do list.

Playing with New Tools
Jumped on a webinar from OpenPhone—they rolled out a new AI virtual assistant that I’m planning to test out. On a related note, I finally set up a phone menu system to filter out spam calls. Clean lines, better flow. Long overdue.
