Productive Day on the Road
Started the morning with some admin work before heading to the warehouse at 10:30 AM to meet my guy and start the routes. Just two stops today, but both went smoothly.
First Stop: Corporate Client Delivery
Dropped off six cocktail tables for a repeat corporate client at a new location. This was the same client who previously had concerns about wrinkled linens, so it was great to see them give us another shot. Everything went off without a hitch.
Second Stop: Event Pickup
Picked up tables and chairs from a corporate event we set up on Monday. This client is out of state and usually in a rush to catch flights post-event. Originally, we had to implement an exact time window fee for them, but this time I didn’t charge it—likely because the booking conversation felt more relaxed.
Last year, this was also the first client where we had the awareness and courage to charge a portage fee. We tested it with a small $80 charge each way just to see if they would pay it. Now, we’re less apologetic about that fee—it’s just a standard percentage of the order (starting at $80). They flew in early, set up ahead of time, and trusted us enough to leave us in the office while they headed to the airport. Definitely a sign of a growing relationship.

Wrapping Up the Day
After fighting traffic back to the warehouse, we unloaded the truck, handled a few missed requests, and then called it a day. Now onto the next challenge—beating traffic again to get the kids to their after-school activities.
